Provider Benefits

GVHN offers a variety of benefits to physicians in south and central Texas, including:

Managed Care Contracting Services via Messengering Model

GVHN facilitates group contracts with managed care payers and networks on behalf of its provider members. As required by the Federal Trade Commission, GVHN must use the messenger model system of disseminating fee proposals, as it is a non-integrated group of facilities and physicians.

Delegated Credentialing through Managed Care Plans

GVHN has a quality physician credentialing program and has been successful at obtaining delegated credentialing through all of its managed care contracted payers. GVHN follows the National Committee for Quality Assurance and State of Texas guidelines for physician credentialing.

Discounts on Malpractice Insurance via Texas Medical Liability Trust

GVHN physicians who have TMLT insurance receive additional savings just by being members of our provider network. While TMLT has discontinued its discount program with most provider groups, GVHN has been to retain this benefit due to the low loss ratio of its TMLT participating physicians.

Access to Continuing Education Programs

GVHN provides free continuing education programs for its providers. Two TMLT sponsored programs are provided each year, allowing physicians to receive additional TMLT savings, and ethics and CME credit. Other educational programs are provided to physicians and their office staff as needed or requested. Monthly office manager meetings are also available to inform physician managers of changes in GVHN and the local managed care market.

Marketing and Physician Advocacy Services

GVHN markets the services of its providers through this website, a physician referral service and special announcements as needed. GVHN also assists providers with various issues such as non-routine claims payment.
